As our Senior Product Design Engineer, you will be a central part of our engineering team and be a vital part of new product design development, enabling the creation of scalable and innovative solutions that align with Aquablu’s mission.

About the job:

• Be a lead on new product design developments, transforming concepts into scalable solutions for mass production, durability, user interaction, and ease of repair.

• Develop products from initial concept sketches through prototyping, testing, and final manufacturing and assembly.

• Continuously optimize designs to enhance functionality, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve user experience.

• Partner with manufacturers to refine designs, ensuring optimal production quality and efficiency.

• Guide and support the growth of our product engineering discipline.

• Maintain clear and detailed documentation for product designs, manufacturing processes, and user guides.

• Offer guidance on creating structure, defining workflows, and setting team priorities.

Location: On-site in Amsterdam

Start Date: Preferably, February 2025

About you:

• 4+ years of experience in product design or engineering, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields.

• Proficiency in mCAD (SolidWorks preferred) and Adobe Suite.

• Experience in manufacturing methods like sheet metal design, injection molding, and additive manufacturing.

• Skilled in rapid prototyping using tools like 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters.

• A self-starter who thrives in a team environment, communicates effectively, and is motivated to innovate.

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with PDM systems (e.g., 3D Experience).

• Background in designing products with complex, multidisciplinary assemblies.

• Leadership experience in managing projects.
