About the Job

As our UX/UI Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces for both our physical REFILL product and the connected online platform. Your role will span from wireframing and prototyping to creating seamless, visually appealing experiences that bring our product to life. You will work closely with product managers and the engineering team to ensure that design aligns with both business goals and technical feasibility.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and design user-friendly interfaces for both our physical product and online platform.

• Conduct user research, create personas, and develop user flows to inform and guide design decisions.

• Collaborate with product managers to ensure design aligns with business objectives and user needs.

• Partner with engineering teams to assess technical feasibility, complexity, and validate design implementation.

• Build and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across all product touchpoints.

This is a full-time (no freelancers), 36-40 hour role, based on-site at our office in Amsterdam.

About you

You’re an independent designer who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment, where you’ll be the primary UX/UI expert. Your passion for creating impactful user experiences is fueled by curiosity and a drive to learn and grow. You’re proactive and eager to not only design but also think holistically about how UX/UI can evolve within the company.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design

• Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop

• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• You’re comfortable being the only UX/UI designer on the team, capable of owning the design process.

• You have a genuine interest in mastering new skills and approaches to enhance your designs.

• You take initiative to think beyond the immediate task, driving improvements in both the product and how UX/UI is approached within the company.

• Portfolio showcasing your user-centered design approach

Bonus points if you have:

• Degree in design, HCI, or a related field

• Experience with

• physical product interface devices

• implementing design systems

• front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS)

• user research, journey mapping, and usability testing
